SEAM Project Creative Writing Workshops

23/06/2018

I’m leading a series of creative writing workshops in July and August to encourage people to respond creatively to the hidden stories of The North of England Institute of Mining and Mechanical Engineers on Westgate Road.

There’ll be three workshops for adults and one for young people (aged 12-19) and the series will culminate in a final event at the end of August where we’ll come together to read and listen to the writing produced in the workshops.

The workshops are part of an exciting new Heritage Lottery Fund supported project called ‘SEAM’ that will explore the history and future of the Institute through an exhibition and series of events between 25 June to 9 September 2018.

You can find out more about SEAM here.

The creative writing workshops are FREE to attend but you need to book a ticket through Eventbrite or by calling the Institute directly on 0191 232 2201.
