Flight of the Dragonfly Journal – Flights Submissions of poetry (no more than 50 lines), flash fiction (under 250 words), and prose (under 2,500 words) for Issue Six. Deadline: 29 August.

The Berlin Writing Prize Fiction and non-fiction on the theme of escape. The winner will get a three-month residency at Berlin’s The Circus Hotel. Entry fee: 10 euros. Deadline: 15 August.

Seaside Gothic For writing that, ‘expresses the sense of border living that is shared between the coast and the ocean, where language is pushed to the horizon and words take on new form as they find their home where the sea meets the sky’. Fiction or non-fiction of up to 1,000 words or a single poem. Submissions open between 11-17 July and 10-16 October.

Feed Lit Mag October Series Short poetry, fiction, and nonfiction (max 750 words) that, ’bewitches and captivates readers—writing that sends shivers down our spines or takes us to another realm, finds unexpected beauty in shadowed lands and healing in the macabre’.
